A sad passing and life is just too hectic
Just got off the phone with my wife who was upset.
One of the really cool things about FAIS was the 'adopt a retiree' program they had for my son when he was in 2nd grade. He made a really great friend, John, who lived at a retirement home a few blocks from the school. They would have lunch together every few weeks and, I think, they both got a lot out of it.
Well, that was 2 years ago. We've been meaning to hookup with John but just can't seem to pull ourselves out of life with 3 boys to actually make a date. Today, after an eye doctor's appointment, my son called. The line was forwarded to another number so he called there. The woman who answered (turns out her husband's name is John) was confused at first, until my wife explained who my son was. She had bad news - John had died.
Man, it really sux that, for two years, we just couldn't make the time.

Hey, why not post via email?
Email comes into, post goes up, ping goes out, email goes out, people

Into the blogosphere
Well, I'm in. I have no cosmos as no one knows I'm here. I suppose blogs can be monologues rather than conversations.

The next step in Technorati
Well, after dealing with an error without an error message and some secret sauce, I'm back in the running for getting this blog onto Technorati.
A blog is born
Got to get this bloggin' started.
Day 1, not that I'll keep track of days from here on out, but ...
We'll see just how easy it is to blog and to hook up with Technorati.
